Arden Cho of 'K-DeHun' Embraces Her Korean American Identity

And, she made her acting first debut in 2008. After waiting a long time, she landed the role of Rumi, a leader of the fictional K-pop girl group HUNTRIX. Cho said she once felt pressure in Hollywood to be "More American." She had hidden parts of herself being bullied from childhood. So, she hoped other actresses like her will succeed like her character did. The film's success was a deeply personal experience for Cho. She hoped the film's message about Korean values was conveyed to its audience. For Cho, Rumi was reflection of herself.

In my opinion, Arden Cho is very brave and cool person. First of all, she tells her own story very confidently. For example, she felt pressure in Hollywood to be "More American.", even being encouraged to change her last name. But she refused and made her own way to be "More American." Also, she overcame difficult times and has been a great success. For instance, she had to endure discrimination from childhood because she was Korean American. But she ignored it and made a great hit. For these reasons, what I admire the most about her is her ability to get through difficult times and not to give up. I want to be a famous and great person like her.
